My name is Nic and i am a new subscriber, the program is really great. I am going to be an exchange student in a few years, and Russia is my #1 choice. DO you think that if i did that for one year, i could come home being fluent in Russia? Also, is the Rosetta Stone a good investment? Will it really help me get a head start on Russian?
Nic, hey. You asked a hard question. Will you be fluent in Russian in a year? It all depends on you. If you have a strong motivation and work hard, being in Russia is the the best place you can be while mastering the language. And yes, Rossetta Stone is worth every penny. Go for it!
NATALIA!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!! I'd hug you but I live on the west coast... your podcast has gotten so much into Russian! It's a shame that I'm not able to get Rosetta Stone... I just got into your podcast three months ago and have learned soooo much! Just a quick question, what do you do when you are physically incapable of rolling your r's???
Привет Наталя! Как дела? Как ваша поездка к Штату Луизиана?
Я have received мой новый компьютер. I am ready for more lessons with you. I will send you my homework when I get the chance to record and put them in writing.
By the way, what microphone do you use and do you happen to use iMic? How do you record your voice so clearly? There is no "white noise" and noises made by the computer processor or fan in your recording.
Caiti, thank you for the comment. Regarding your question:"What do you do when one is physically incapable of rolling your r's?" First, I'd make sure with a doctor it's so. If it is, then just try your best. There are many Russians who are physically incapable of rolling their r's. And they are still understood.
Hi Im a new listener and I love learning different languages. I catch on very easily, except my memory doesn't seem to be as strong as it was when I was younger. Ny daughters' names are Natalia and Nadia (22 and 24 yrs old). Are you on Facebook? Thank you so much for the lessons. Dawn

Have a wonderful weekend at Louisiana!
Just a note: not sure why I have problem viewing your lessons on alphabet.
Will try and sort out a way.
Thanks again!
